Liberty Downs North Greenville 2-1 in OT

Liberty forward Matthew Zaczyk scored a 1:28 into overtime, as the Flames fought off the North Greenville Crusaders 2-1, Friday night in their season opener at Osborne Stadium.

Despite being outshot by the Flames 19-4 in regulation, visiting North Greenville tied the contest on the counterattack with less than a minute remaining. However, Zacyzk netted the game-winner with Liberty's first shot in overtime.

Liberty moves to 1-0 on the year, while North Greenville drops to 0-1.

Turning Point
With the Flames dominating the shot column, Crusaders' goalkeeper Noah Kenderick made several key saves including one on a breakaway by Mbuyu during the 86th minute. However, Liberty cashed in its 20th shot of the night immediately in overtime for the win.
