Liberty Hosts SEC Opponent LSU at Osborne Stadium

Liberty women's soccer will wrap up its one and only non-conference homestand on Thursday, Aug. 23, as they host SEC member, LSU, at Osborne Stadium.

Liberty Notables

  • LSU is just the second SEC school (Tennessee in 2015) that Liberty has hosted for a home match.

  • For the first time in school history, Liberty has started the season with back-to-back overtime games.

  • Goalkeeper, Molly Andres, received her first playing time in her career vs. George Washington.

  • Madison Ellis was the first freshman to earn a start this season starting vs. George Washington.

  • Liberty suffered a 1-0 loss at LSU last season as Lucy Parker scored the game-winning goal.  

  • Liberty enters its first season as a member of the ASUN Conference.

  • Liberty soccer is the first team play a Big South school (Campbell) since joining the ASUN.

  • Liberty has defeated Campbell in six straight matches and have not loss to CU since 2011.
