The Starting 5 - Liberty's Top Storylines
• Big South leader Liberty (18-9, 13-2 Big South) will wrap up its regular-season road schedule on Saturday with a visit to Charleston Southern (10-16, 5-10 Big South).

• The Lady Flames have won back-to-back games overall and six straight contests at the Buc Dome. Meanwhile, CSU is looking to stop a four-game losing skid.

• Liberty has held 11 straight opponents below 60 points and is allowing just 49 ppg in Big South play. The Lady Flames limited CSU to 1-of-11 from the field in the fourth quarter on Jan. 6, breaking a 40-40 deadlock through three periods.

• Ashtyn Baker captured her fourth Big South Freshman of the Week honor on Monday and is off to a strong start as she aims for a fifth award. Baker scored 11 of her team-high 15 points during the third quarter at Winthrop on Tuesday and shot 7-of-7 from the field.

• Sophomore Lela Sellers scored a career-high 21 points during her only previous game at CSU (Jan. 3, 2017) and tallied 11 points during the Lady Flames' win over the Buccaneers on Jan. 6 this season.

Notes and Anecdotes - Liberty vs. Charleston Southern
• Liberty, which is looking to sweep the regular-season series from Charleston Southern, has won six straight visits to the Buc Dome and is 17-1 in its last 18 contests in Charleston.
• Charleston Southern currently sits eighth in the Big South standings at 5-10, but the Buccaneers have not been an easy matchup for some of the conference's top teams. CSU took both Radford and UNC Asheville to overtime and lost two games to High Point by a total of four points.
• Liberty and Charleston Southern have squared off in the Big South Championship quarterfinals in each of the last two years. Such a meeting is possible once again in 2018. If the tournament started today, No. 1 seed Liberty would meet the winner between No. 8 seed CSU and No. 9 seed Longwood in the quarterfinal round. 
• Liberty is seeking its third straight win. Meanwhile, CSU is looking to snap a four-game losing streak.
• Charleston Southern features truly balanced scoring, as six players average between 8.0-9.8 ppg, including Njeri Nelms, Weknyne Dumorne, Shelby Wilbanks, Rachel Burns, Ke'Asia Jackson and Shauntavia Dobson.
• Both Liberty and CSU have traveled extensively of late. Saturday marks the Lady Flames' fourth road game in their last five outings. Meanwhile, five of the Bucs' last seven games have been played on the road, including two trips to Virginia.

• The Lady Flames recorded a 74-47 victory at Charleston Southern on Feb. 24, 1992 in Liberty's final conference game during its first season of Big South play. Wendy Johnson led the way with 21 points and nine rebounds.

Lady Flames in the Palmetto State
