Liberty's Juwan Wells jumped to the top of the defensive stats sheet during his breakout sophomore season and the defensive end has been there ever since.

During the Flames' annual bye week, the LFSN Game On crew spent some time with the native of Dublin, Ga., showing how hard the 6-2, 255-pound lineman works to be one of the best.

Last year, Wells was named to the HERO Sports FCS Sophomore All-America team and was a first-team All-Big South and All-VaSID selection. He led the Flames with a career-best 79 tackles (38 solo, 41 assisted) and ranked fourth in the Big South with 11.0 tackles for a loss.

This year, Wells has picked up right where he left off in 2016, leading the Flames with 50 tackles (27 solo, 23 assisted). He also leads Liberty with 6.0 tackles for a loss, while adding five quarterback hurries, three pass breakups and 2.5 sacks.
