STATS FCS Top 25 poll

Following their first setback of 2017, Liberty is now ranked No. 22 in the latest STATS FCS Top 25 poll.

The Flames dropped six spots in the national media poll following a 31-10 loss at No. 5/7 Jacksonville State on Saturday in Jacksonville, Ala.

As a part of Liberty's two-year FBS reclassification process, the Flames are eligible for the STATS FCS Top 25 poll, but not the FCS Coaches Top 25 poll.

The Flames have been ranked in each of the regular season STATS FCS Top 25 polls this season. Prior to the national rankings the last four weeks, the last time the Flames were ranked was Oct. 12, 2015. Liberty was ranked No. 22 in the country before a 20-17 loss at Monmouth on Oct. 17 dropped Liberty out of both national rankings for the rest of the year.

The Flames will play their final game before opening Big South play when Liberty hosts St. Francis (Pa.) at Williams Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff for the Hall of Fame game is set for 6 p.m.
