Saturday's Top Storylines
1. Coming off of a history-making 48-45 win at Baylor, No. 20/NR Liberty will open its home schedule against a Pioneer Football League foe for the second straight season, facing fellow 1-0 squad Morehead State.
2. The Flames have won 13 of their last 14 home openers, including four in a row. Liberty's last four home-opening victories have come by an average of 30.5 ppg.
3. Liberty and Morehead State will be meeting on the gridiron for the ninth time, but the two teams have not squared off in 26 years. The Flames are 5-3 all-time against the Eagles, including 4-0 in Lynchburg.
4. The Flames are seeking their first 2-0 start to a season since 2010. That strong start also included an FBS victory, at Ball State.
5. Liberty QB Stephen "Buckshot" Calvert will look to build upon his banner day at Baylor. The STATS FCS National Offensive Player of the Week set Liberty and Big South records for completions (44), attempts (60) and passing yards (447), while throwing three TDs and zero interceptions.
6. Calvert's classmate Antonio Gandy-Golden was his favorite target against the Bears, posting career highs for catches (13), yards (192) and TDs (2). Carrington Mosley added a career-high 28 carries for 122 yards on the ground for the Flames.

A Liberty Win Would ...
• Enable the Flames to open the season at 2-0 for the first time since 2010.
• Give the Flames a victory in their home opener for the fifth straight season and for the 14th time in the last 15 years.
• Push the Flames' all-time record in home openers to 30-14-1.
• Mark the Flames' first triumph over Morehead State since a 42-13 victory at Williams Stadium on Sept. 22, 1990, improving Liberty's all-time record against the Eagles to 6-3.
• Keep the Flames unbeaten (5-0) in home matchups with the Eagles and mark the eighth victory by the home team in nine all-time Liberty-Morehead State clashes.
• Make the Flames 2-0 all-time against Pioneer Football League opponents. (Liberty's first eight meetings with Morehead State came during the Eagles' time as members of the Ohio Valley Conference.)
