As the days of summer carry on, the Liberty men's basketball newcomers continue to settle in Lynchburg as they develop chemistry on and off the court. LFSN's Alan York sat down with freshman Keegan McDowell to discuss adjusting to life as a Liberty Flame.

Throughout the interview, McDowell talks about making the transition moving from Cincinnati, Ohio to Lynchburg. McDowell is now one of three players for Liberty to come from the state of Ohio joining redshirt sophomore Myo Baxter-Bell and redshirt-freshman Scottie James.

McDowell looks to carry over success he had at Moeller high school where they were named Second Team All-USA after finishing as the state runner-up in his senior campaign. After averaging 9.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in his junior season, McDowell was named All-GCL South Second Team. McDowell was also a Cincinnati Enquirer Division I All-City Second Team selection. The incoming freshman also has excelled in the classroom earning Academic First Honors.
