Keyen Green is the second Lady Flame ever to win five Big South Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week honors in a single season.

For the fifth time this season, Liberty post player Keyen Green has been recognized as the Come Ready Nutrition Big South Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week.

A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Green was previously named Big South Freshman of the Week on Dec. 5, Jan. 2, Jan. 9 and Jan. 16. Her five Big South Freshman of the Week honors equals the most any Lady Flame has ever earned during a single season. Michelle Fricke was a five-time Big South Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week in 1999-2000.

Green paced the Lady Flames in both points (14.0 ppg) and rebounds (7.0 rpg) and tied for the team lead in blocked shots (1.5 bpg) during the team's 2-0 week.

On Tuesday, Green scored 12 points and paced all players in both rebounds (9) and blocked shots (3) during the Lady Flames' 58-52 victory over Big South co-leader Campbell. She scored four points in the fourth quarter, including a hoop with 4:03 remaining which started a 7-0 run that gave Liberty the lead for good.

Green then scored a team-high 16 points on Saturday, helping the Lady Flames notch a 66-63 home win over Gardner-Webb. Twelve of her points against the Runnin' Bulldogs came during the second half.

For the season, Green leads the Big South in rebounds (8.4 rpg), offensive rebounds (4.0 rpg) and field goal percentage (57.6). She also ranks fourth in blocked shots (1.0 bpg), sixth in defensive rebounds (4.4 rpg) and tied for 10th in scoring (11.9 ppg).

Green ranks No. 3 nationally among freshmen in rebounding and No. 27 overall for offensive rebounding.

Riding a three-game winning streak, Liberty (8-13, 7-3 Big South) will play host to Big South co-leader Radford (16-5, 8-2 Big South) Tuesday at 7 p.m. inside the Vines Center.
