The Liberty women's tennis doubles team of junior Evangeline Crist and sophomore Anna Dollar was tabbed the No. 7 doubles team in the Oracle/ITA Division I Regional Rankings for the Atlantic Region this week.

This past fall, the duo posted a 9-3 record. Crist and Dollar were the first players in program history to represent Liberty at the 2016 Rivera/ITA Women's All-American Championships at Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif at the beginning of October. The tandem posted wins over Hawaii and UC Irvine, before falling to Oregon.

Crist and Dollar carried their strong play into the 2016 ITA Atlantic Regional Women's Tennis Championships at Old Dominion from Oct. 15-17, where they became the first pair in Lady Flames history to reach the semifinals at the regional.

The duo won three matches at the regional, defeating James Madison's Emma Petersen and Jona Roka (8-4), Navy's Emily Louie-Meadors and Claudia Mackenzie (8-4) and Maryland's third-seeded team of Ekaterina Tour and Arnelle Sullivan (8-5).

Crist, a native of Lilburn, Ga., is currently tied for sixth in program history in doubles victories with 64.

"Anna and Evangeline have done an outstanding job as a tandem this fall," stated Liberty Head Women's Tennis Coach Jeff Maren. "They were able to blend their styles nicely and truly enjoy playing with each other. I'm looking forward to watching them play again this spring!"

Liberty will begin the spring 2017 schedule on Feb. 1, hosting Big South opponent Longwood at 2 p.m.
