Overlooking the new Liberty Indoor Track Complex, Alan York of the Liberty Flames Sports Network caught up with Liberty Track & Field and Cross Country Head Coach Brant Tolsma.
Tolsma began by recapping the end of the 2016 cross country season, highlighted by the Lady Flames' Big South title and the Flames' ninth-place finish at the NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championships.
Tolsma then gave an overview of the state-of-the-art Liberty Indoor Track Complex, slated to open in January. The facility will feature a 200-meter hydraulically-banked track, a 100-meter warmup track, approximately 1,500 permanent seats and numerous other amenities.
Liberty is slated to host three collegiate meets at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex this season, including the Liberty Kickoff (Jan. 20-21), Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (Jan. 27-28) and Liberty Elite Invitational (Feb. 10-11).
