Liberty earned 12 wins over the course of three days at the SMU Red and Blue Challenge.

The Liberty women's tennis team collected two more wins on Sunday at the SMU Red and Blue Challenge at the SMU Tennis Complex, bringing its total to 12 victories over the course of the three-day invite.

"This was a good way to end our fall season. We didn't get the number of wins we had hoped to get, but we received valuable information about our team's strengths and weaknesses," said Liberty Head Coach Jeff Maren. "This will serve us well in practice and better prepare us for the spring season."

In Sunday's singles matches, Liberty sophomore Rebekah Anderson bested SMU"s Dasha Sharapova, 6-4, 6-1.

Lady Flames junior Evangeline Crist defeated Ellie Zogg of SMU, 6-4, 7-6 (4).

In three days of competition, Liberty won 12 matches against a strong field, which featured four teams from the top 75 of the 2015-16 ITA rankings.

Liberty opens its spring season on Feb. 1 against Big South opponent Longwood in Lynchburg.
