The CollegeSwimming.com Team Rankings account for NCAA Division I teams' performances over the last month. For every meet, all individuals are objectively ranked, based on percentile of top national performances. The rankings are based on teams' top 27 swims in a meet.
Michigan holds the top spot this week, just ahead of defending national champion Georgia. Wisconsin, Louisville and Auburn round out the top five. Florida Gulf Coast (24th) and Liberty (34th) are the two CCSA schools represented in this week's national top 50.
Now in its 15th year, the Mid-Major Rankings serve to provide an objective point system to compare teams that do not benefit from large scale football or basketball conferences or those teams that provide fewer than one-half of the allowable scholarships under the NCAA rules.
Boise State leads the Mid-Major Rankings, while FGCU is ranked second. SMU is in third, while Harvard and San Diego State sit in fourth and fifth, respectively. At sixth, Navy is one position ahead of the Lady Flames.
Having finished the dual-meet portion of its fall schedule, Liberty will next compete in the Frank Elm Invite, hosted by Rutgers from Nov. 18-20 in Piscataway, N.J.
