With a week and half of preseason practice now complete, LFSN reporter Nick Pierce recently had a chance to talk with junior Ryan Kemrite about the team's workouts.
Kemrite is a two-year starter for the Flames, including 28 starts during the 2015-16 campaign. He finished last season ranked fourth on the team, averaging 8.3 point per game. The guard/forward also ranked second on Liberty's roster in total rebounds (127) and three-point field goals made (57).
Kemrite, who hails from Conroe, Texas, is one of four upperclassmen on Liberty's 2016-17. He is joined by senior Ray Chen, who transferred from Belmont Abbey during the offseason, redshirt senior John Dawson and junior A.C. Reid.
The 2016-17 campaign officially begins on Nov. 11, when the Flames open the season in the Vines Center against Cairn (8:30 p.m.). Four days later, Liberty hosts VCU, tipping off against the Rams at 8 p.m.
