The Liberty Flames men's tennis team begins play at the Tulsa Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships on Saturday.
Sophomore Eddie Gutierrez along with freshmen Chase Burton and Vince Salas will represent the Flames at the tournament. The tournament will be played at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla., from Oct. 1 through Oct. 10.
Pre-qualifying matches are scheduled to begin on Saturday, with qualifying matches starting on Monday. Main draw matches will get under way on Thursday. Singles and doubles finals are set for Oct. 10.
Pre-Qualifying Draw Matches for Liberty Gutierrez takes on Indiana's Keivon Tabrizi in his opening match at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Burton faces off against Illinois' Alex Jesse at 10:30 a.m., while Salas plays against Illinois State's Andreas Boers at 11:30 a.m.

Last Time Out The Flames played at the Elon Fall Invitational last weekend. The event was scheduled for Friday through Sunday, but Sunday's final day of competition was cancelled due to inclement weather.
The doubles squad of Diego Castano and Alex Poynter won two matches to advance to the final. In singles, Eddie Gutierrez, Vince Salas and Max Borcuti each won two matches.
Looking Forward Following the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships, Liberty plays at the ITA Mid-Atlantic Regional, hosted by Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., from Oct. 14-17.
