The 2016-17 Liberty women's basketball team will feature a lot of new faces. This summer, Nick Pierce and Alan York of the Liberty Flames Sports Network spent some time with each of the Lady Flames' newcomers. The series continues today with freshman Lela Sellers.

Sellers, a 6-0 wing player from Lakeville, Minn., was a 2016 McDonald's All-America nominee. She enjoyed a stellar senior season at John F. Kennedy High School, averaging 18.7 ppg and 9.1 rpg to earn first team all-state honors. Her efforts helped the Cougars go 18-5 and reach the Iowa Class 5A regional final.

Sellers, who scored over 1,000 career high school points, spent her first two years at Lakeville South High School. She averaged 12 ppg as a sophomore, contributing to her team's 17-win season.
