1. Liberty will be meeting both of its midweek opponents for the second time, this season.  Earlier this year, the Flames defeated Virginia Tech, 22-7, on March 15th at English Field in Blacksburg, Va., and downed William & Mary, 8-4, on Feb. 23 at Liberty Baseball Stadium.

2. Wednesday's contest between the Tribe and Flames will be their first meeting since 2013 at Plumeri Park in Williamsburg, Va.

3. The Flames played seven of their last eight games on the road. With Tuesday's contest, Liberty begins a stretch where it will play nine out of its next 10 games at Liberty Baseball Stadium.

4. The Flames are 14-6 at Liberty Baseball Stadium in 2016. This past Tuesday, Liberty set a season-high and had the second largest crowd in stadium history with 3,878 fans in attendance for its game against Duke. Through 19 home dates this season, the Flames have drawn 27, 866 fans, an average of 1,466 per game

5. 26 out Liberty's 42 games have been decided by two runs or less and 18 by one run.

• SS Dalton Britt was 3-for-4 with a RBI, Sunday at Presbyterian. It was his third game with three or more hits, last week.

• Britt went 7-for-9 with three doubles, this past Tuesday and Wednesday.

• Britt collected three hits and a RBI against Duke, Tuesday. He followed up by going 4-for-4 with three doubles, a RBI and walk on Wednesday. He scored twice for the Flames.

• OF/2B Will Shepherd had his third home run of the week among his two hits, Saturday at Presbyterian.
He also collected three RBI on two hits, Sunday against the Blue Hose.

• Shepherd hit home runs, number four and five of the season, this past Wednesday at Richmond. The 2B hit a two-run home run in the seventh and a solo blast in the ninth. He walked twice and scored three runs.

• The junior had two hits and a RBI against Duke, Tuesday. Shepherd also plated a run in the contest.

• Shepherd is tied for 10th with 36 runs scored and tied for ninth with six home runs in the Big South Conference.

• OF D.J. Artis collected four hits ad scored twice, Sunday at Presbyterian. The freshman also stole two bases.

• Artis each had two hits and a RBI, Tuesday against Duke. He scored twice.

• Artis leads the Big South with a .520 on base percentage. He is fifth with a .380 batting average and 38 runs scored.  The OF is second with 39 walks and 20 stolen bases.

• RHP Shane Quarterley leads the Flames in appearances with 20.  Currently, Quarterley is second in saves (6), tied for third in appearances, and tied for ninth in wins (5) in the Big South.

• RHP Evan Mitchell gave up two runs, one unearned on five hits, posting his third complete game, in a 4-2 win over Presbyterian, Friday.  Currently, he is fourth in the Big South and leads the Flames with a 2.11 ERA.

• OF Jack Morris, DH Andrew Kowalo and C Payton Scarbrough each hit a home run in Liberty's 4-2 win over Presbyterian, Friday.

• Scarbrough had two hits, including a two-out, two-run single to tie the game in the ninth inning, at Presbyterian, Sunday.

• 1B/OF Andrew Yacyk leads the Flames in doubles, home runs, RBI and total bases. He tied for fourth in the Big South with 14 doubles, tied for ninth with six home runs, eighth with 36 RBI and ninth with 87 total bases.

• OF Josh Close received his first two starts of the season, April 16 and 17 at Campbell. Close had a RBI double in the Flames' 3-0 victory over the Fighting Camels, April 17.
