Liberty held its annual Football Pro Day on March 23 and the LFSN Game On crew followed graduated senior defensive end Chima Uzowihe through the event.

Liberty hosts its annual Football Pro Day each March, allowing its draft eligible players to showcase their talents for professional scouts. Uzowihe was one of eight draft eligible players to participate in the event.

The event began in the weight room of the Williams Football Operations Center. During their time in the FOC weight room, players' height, weight, hand size, arm span, vertical jump, standing long jump and 225-pound bench press were tested.

Following their indoor tests, the remainder of Liberty's Football Pro Day schedule took place on the Williams Stadium turf where players will be tested in the 40-yard dash, short shuttle, three-cone drill, 60-yard shuttle and various position drills.

Uzowihe's on-the-field accomplishments were numerous for his final year with the Flames. He was named to the All-Big South first team, STATS FCS All-America second team, Associated Press FCS All-America second team and the Roanoke Times All-State first team.

Uzowihe became the first player in program history to be named the Big South Defensive Player of the Year. He was also one of 25 finalists for the STATS FCS National Defensive Player of the Year award.

The senior finished the 2015 season with 52 tackles (34 solo, 18 assisted), including 17.0 tackles for a loss (86 yards) and 8.0 sacks (62 yards). The 2015 Big South Defensive Player of the Year also added a team-best six quarterback hurries, along with four pass breakups and a forced fumble.

The senior led the Big South and ranked No. 17 in the country in tackles for a loss (1.5 per game). He also led the conference and ranked No. 18 in the nation in sacks per game (0.73).

The native of Houston, Texas, finished his career with a program and Big South-best 25.0 sacks. His 44.0 career tackles for a loss ranks second in program history and third in the Big South record book. During his four-year career, he recorded 150 tackles (84 solo, 66 assisted), 10 pass breakups, five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
