As the calendar winds down to the final days of 2015, the Liberty Flames Sports Network is looking back at the moments that made this athletics year special for Flames Nation.

The series continues today by looking at Moment No. 7, freshman Chris Turner intercepting a pass during the fourth quarter of Liberty's 24-21 win over No. 4 Coastal Carolina on Nov. 19.

A 14-yard pass play from Coastal Carolina quarterback Alex Ross to running back De'Angelo Henderson got the Chanticleers to midfield. Ross looked to continue to move his team downfield with a sideline pass on the next play, but Turner stepped in front of it and intercepted the pass before falling out of bounds.

The interception was the fourth of the year for Turner, marking the most interceptions in a season by a Liberty freshman since 1999. The acrobatic play earned Turner the No. 1 play of the day on ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 plays, marking the first time a Liberty player has earned the daily listing's top play.

The play helped Liberty win the game over its Big South rivals in front of a packed Williams Stadium in the program's first-ever nationally televised football games (on ESPNEWS).

The Liberty Flames Sports Network will continue to countdown the top moments of 2015 when reveals moment No. 6 on Christmas day.
