For the second-straight game Megan Frazee and Karolina Piotrkiewicz both recorded double-doubles as Liberty routed American, 66-42, Tuesday evening, in the Vines Center.

The Eagles (3-10) made a game out of it early as they held a two-point advantage, 9-7, after six and a half minutes in the first half.

However, the Lady Flames (7-4) responded, running off an 11-2 run as Frazee accounted for eight of the 11 points for Liberty to put the home team up seven with 9:04 left.

After Katie Hirschler connected on a three to pull American to within four, the Lady Flames reeled off a 12-2 run to give Liberty a comfortable 14-point lead and send them into the half up 11, 35-24.

Coming out of the half Frazee opened up Liberty's lead to 15 as her tip-in off of a Moriah Frazee miss gave the Lady Flames a 40-25 lead.

American fought back as a layup by Sahar Nusseibeh capped off a 5-0 run to pull the Eagles to within 10, 40-30.

But that's as close as the Eagles would get as Liberty scored 17 of the next 21 to give them a 23-point cushion and help the Lady Flames cruise to a 66-42 victory.

Liberty used its seventh different line-up in 11 games, but it proved to be beneficial as the Lady Flames outrebounded the Eagles by a season-high 31 boards (61-30), while holding American to just 25 percent from the field (14-56).

The Lady Flames were led by Megan Frazee and Piotrkiewicz as they picked up their eighth and second double-double, respectively. Megan Frazee scored a game-high 15 points and collected 11 rebounds, while Piotrkiewicz had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Liberty returns to action a week from tonight, January 10, when they host Loyola (Md.) as part of a doubleheader with the men's team. The game is slated to tip-off at 6 p.m.
