Lady Flames Remain in the NFHCA Top 20

Week 10 NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll

The Liberty Lady Flames field hockey squad fell two spots in the season's final NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll, falling in line at No. 14.

The Lady Flames' position in the NFHCA Coaches Poll marks the 10th consecutive week that Liberty has been stationed in the national rankings as the Lady Flames continue to garner recognition.

The 12-6 Lady Flames currently hold the No. 15 spot in the final NCAA Field Hockey RPI listings.

Liberty capped off the 2015 campaign on Saturday, downing Appalachian State in record-setting fashion, 12-0.

The Lady Flames were led by senior midfielder Hannah Doherty who collected 10 points during the contest on four goals and two assists. Doherty's 10 goals set a new Liberty record for points in a single contest. Meanwhile, the New Jersey native's four goals marked her first career hat trick.

For the contest, eight of the 10 seniors recorded at least one point. Liberty also collected a total of 34 points (12g, 10a), shattering the old record of 25 points set against Appalachian State on Oct. 5, 2014.
