For the next six weeks, LibertyFlames.com will showcase video interviews with Liberty's men's basketball coaching staff. Produced by the Liberty Flames Sports Network, the six-part series features interviews from head coach Ritchie McKay, assistant coaches Kyle Getter, Omar Mance and Brad Soucie, assistant to the head coach Matt Olinger and strength and conditioning coach Henry Barrera.
Today, we begin the series with McKay, who returned to the program's helm on April 1 after spending six seasons as associate head coach at Virginia.
During the interview, McKay talked about a number of topics, including how to build trust with his players and the importance of having a quality coaching staff.
Liberty will begin the 2015-16 season with four straight home games, opening the year with Covenant on Nov. 13, followed by Summit University (Nov. 14), William & Mary (Nov. 17) and Central Penn (Nov. 21). Be sure to check back with LibertyFlames.com for the latest Flames basketball news.
