Liberty coach Chris Johnson's 2007-08 Women's Tennis Recruiting Class is listed among the Top 25 for Mid-Major programs.
The Liberty Women's Tennis recruiting class for the upcoming 2007-08 academic year has been listed among The Tennis Recruiting Network's Top 25 Mid-Major recruiting classes.
The list, based on recruiting classes as of June 1, ranks Liberty's incoming class 17th out of its top 25 classes. The Lady Flames have signed Jordan Jenkins, a five-star recruit from Sarasota, Fla., New Zealand native Hannah Frick and Brazilian Flavia Picanco for the upcoming year.
The mid-major rankings include all colleges in all divisions except for those in the "major conferences". The major conferences for tennis include schools affiliated with Bowl Championship Series conferences - the ACC, BIG EAST, Big 10, Big 12, Pac 10, and SEC - as well as the Ivy League.
The 25 schools in the list represent 14 different states and 14 different conferences, topped by Pepperdine. Coach Chris Johnson's Liberty class is the only one from the Commonwealth of Virginia and the lone Big South Conference school in the rankings.
