Renovations at Williams Stadium are currently underway, which will give Liberty a new playing surface in time for the upcoming 2015 football season.
Following the cleanup from Liberty's 42nd commencement ceremonies, construction crews have spent this week removing the old artificial playing surface from the stadium.
LFSN reporter Alan York recently had a chance to catch up with Mickey Guridy, who oversees Liberty's facility projects as part of his job as Liberty's Senior Associate AD for Internal Operations.
During the interview, York discusses with Guridy the new AstroTurf installation, which is scheduled to be completed in July. The Flames will hold their first practice on the new turf on Aug. 6, the first day of August training camp.
