Leading up to the Liberty lacrosse season opener on Feb. 6 vs. Virginia Tech, will provide a look at each of the Lady Flames' newcomers. Today's article features Abigail Britton, Ashlyn Altieri and Katy Pridemore.

Why did you choose Liberty?

Altieri: I chose Liberty because I felt like it was a place that would make me a better person.

Britton: I chose to come to Liberty because I knew I would grow in my faith and that the girls on the team would push me to be a better player and role model.

Pridemore: I chose Liberty because I wanted to come to a Christian school and still have the opportunity to play lacrosse at the DI level.

What has been the biggest adjustment you've had to make since joining the squad here at Liberty?

Altieri: The biggest adjustment I have had to make is getting used to the heavily active schedule of lifting and conditioning.

Britton: Probably the biggest adjustment I've had to make is constantly being surrounded by girls and knowing that everyone on the team is not just a teammate but my sister as well.

Pridemore: Time management has been the biggest adjustment that I have had to make so far.

What are you looking forward to the most this season?

Altieri: I am most looking forward to seeing our hard work pay off when we win games.

Britton: I'm looking forward to traveling and playing games.

Pridemore: I am simply looking forward to playing lacrosse and learning more about the game.

What are your goals for this season?

Altieri: I want to improve at every practice and during every game.

Britton: My goal is to start some of the games this season as a freshman. My other goal is to enjoy every moment and not complain…even about conditioning.

Pridemore: My goal is to become a better player, become stronger both mentally and physically and to have fun playing the sport that I love.

What do you do in your spare time when you aren't on the lacrosse field?

Altieri: I am usually studying when I am not on the field.

Britton: When I am not on the playing field, I am mostly in study hall.

Pridemore: When I am not playing lacrosse I am usually hanging out with friends, watching Netflix or grabbing a bite to eat with friends.
