Today's Game
First place in the Big South standings is on the line Saturday at the Vines Center as conference co-leaders Liberty (7-5, 3-0 Big South) and High Point (7-5, 3-0 Big South) clash at 4 p.m. The game will tip off a Liberty men's/women's basketball doubleheader at the Vines Center.

The "Starting Five" - Liberty's Top Storylines
1) Liberty is 3-0 in the Big South for the first time since 2010-11, while High Point is 3-0 in conference play for the first time since 2011-12. Each team enters Saturday's game with eight consecutive Big South regular-season victories.

2) High Point swept the regular-season series from Liberty in 2013-14 on its way to the Big South regular-season title, and the Panthers have won three straight contests at the Vines Center. Overall, the road team has won nine of the last 11 Liberty-High Point matchups, dating back to the 2009-10 season.

3) The last four times Liberty and High Point have squared off in Lynchburg, the games have been decided by an average of 4.5 ppg. Two of them have gone into overtime, including High Point's 94-89 double overtime triumph last season (Jan. 30, 2014).

4) Ashley Rininger will look to build upon her performance at UNC Asheville on Tuesday, where she exploded for 22 points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots. However, Rininger has never scored more than 12 points in her four career matchups with High Point.

5) Mickayla Sanders (14.5 ppg) and Catherine Kearney (10.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg) have historically fared well against the Panthers. Meanwhile, Sadalia Ellis' career-high of 17 points came against High Point on Jan. 30, 2014.
