The No. 20/23 Liberty Flames continued to make history on Saturday night, upending No. 15/15 James Madison, 26-21, to advance to the second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs.

LFSN followed the Flames through the day, providing this sights and sounds video package to recap Liberty's first-ever appearance and win in an NCAA FCS Playoff game.

With the historic victory, Liberty advances to the second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs. The Flames will face No. 5/5 Villanova next Saturday at Villanova Stadium at 4:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3. Click here for ticketing information.

The Flames trailed 21-10 at the halftime break, but scored three times during the second half against the Dukes. Liberty took the lead following an impressive 17-play, 85-yard drive the used 11:01 on the game clock. The drive was capped by a one-yard run up the middle by fullback Nicky Fualaau with 2:53 left to play in the game.

Liberty was able to stop James Madison's potent offense during the second half, limiting the Dukes to 65 yards of total offense during the final 30 minutes of play. James Madison entered the game ranked No. 8 in the country, averaging 497.0 total offensive yards per game.
