Krulock and Parker Capture NorPac Weekly Honors

Liberty junior forward Ashlee Krulock and freshman teammate Summer Parker have been tabbed with NorPac weekly awards, for contests played from Sept. 29-Oct. 5.

Krulock, a native of Hummelstown, Pa., garners her second career NorPac Offensive Player of the Week honor. Her first honor came exactly one year ago today on Oct. 7, 2013.

Parker, a Suffolk, Va. native, was named the NorPac Rookie of the Week for the first time in her young collegiate career.

Krulock tallied seven points last week, making her the team points leader with 19. Krulock netted her second career hat trick in Tuesday's 8-1 victory over the Longwood Lancers. In Sunday's 10-0 victory over NorPac foe Appalachian State, Krulock recorded her team-leading fifth assist to cap off her seven-point weekend. Krulock has recorded nine points in the last three contests, scoring four goals and picking up one assist.

Parker netted her first career goal in Sunday's 10-0 victory over the Mountaineers. Parker's goal came off the pass from Krulock in the 56th minute. Krulock passed the ball across the middle of the circle, to a wide-open Parker in front of the net. Parker maintained her composure, tipping the ball into the bottom right corner for the easy goal. Parker is the second Lady Flame this season to garner the NorPac Rookie of the Week honor, with Alynn Richardson accomplishing the feat on Sept. 9.

Liberty's duo looks to continue the Lady Flames' seven-game winning streak on the road, traveling to Boone, N.C., for a rematch of Sunday's NorPac contest against the Appalachian State Mountaineers on Friday at 3 p.m. Liberty will then turn around to take on its third ranked ACC opponent of the year, facing No. 9 Duke in Durham, N.C. on Sunday at 1 p.m.
