Third-year head football coach Turner Gill held his first practice of preseason training camp today and he talked with LFSN reporter Alan York following the morning workout.
Liberty hit the field for the first time as a team in 2014 around 9:15 a.m. and worked out for two-plus hours under near ideal conditions (upper 70s and mostly sunny skies).
The Flames utilized the two practice fields adjacent the Williams Football Operations Center, along with Williams Stadium, wrapping up their first workout of the season at 11:50 a.m.
Liberty will follow the same practice schedule on Friday and Saturday (9:15 to 11:50 a.m.) before holding its first afternoon workout on Sunday (3:15 to 5:50 p.m.).
As a reminder, all of Liberty's preseason training camp sessions are open to the public and photography/videotaping is limited to the first 15 minutes of practice. Please click here for a full training camp schedule.
LibertyFlames.com will continue its coverage of Liberty's preseason training camp during the next few days with feature interviews with LFSN reporters Mike Tilley and Matt Warner. The website will release its first position preview on Sunday, taking a look at Liberty's running backs.
