Liberty's football program will wrap up its summer workout program on Monday (July 21) by hosting an "Evening of Champions" in the weight room of the Williams Football Operations Center (FOC).
Following the strength and conditioning program's first successful run of opening up the testing session in April, the group is once again opening their summer testing event to the public. April's event was highlighted by 2014 team captain Jonathan Burgess setting a program record with a 385-pound lift in the hang clean.
The event will start at 5:30 p.m. and will run for approximately three hours. During the workout session, Liberty's football players will be tested in the following areas: hang clean, bench press, 225-pound NFL bench press, vertical jump and standing long jump.
Fans wishing to attend the event are encouraged to park in the Bailey parking lot (main parking lot at Liberty Baseball Stadium) and to walk down to the FOC. Liberty's weight room is located in the lower level of the FOC.
