Caleb Edmonds qualified for the IC4A meet in the men's 3K, Saturday evening in Seattle.
Liberty senior Caleb Edmonds clocked a 3K time of 8:16.06 on Saturday at the Husky Classic at Dempsey Indoor, qualifying for the IC4A Championship. Running the 3K for the first time this season, Edmonds performed well, placing 24th overall between the two invitational sections of the event. His 8:16.06 clocking is the fastest by any Big South men's runner in 2013-14. Edmonds has now recorded IC4A qualifiers in two events this year, as the Empire State native previously qualified in the mile. The Flames will host the Liberty Quad, their final home meet of the 2013-14 indoor campaign, on Sunday and Monday at the Tolsma Indoor Track Center. The meet will get underway Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the heptathlon 60-meter dash.
