LibertyFlames.com concludes its countdown of the Top 10 Moments of 2013 for Liberty Athletics, looking at No. 1, Davon Marshall's 17 three-pointers in the Big South Championship.
Liberty began the most memorable run in Big South Men's Basketball Championship history with a 78-61 upset victory over No. 4 seed and tournament host Coastal Carolina thanks to five three-point field goals from Marshall on March 5 in Conway, S.C.
Three upset victories later and 12 additional baskets from behind the arc, Marshall, the Big South Championship MVP, led the Flames to the program's third Big South title and first since 2004.
Marshall averaged 18.0 points per game during the remarkable conference championship run and helped punch Liberty's ticket to the "Big Dance" where they eventually fell to MEAC Champion North Carolina A&T in a NCAA First Four game in Dayton, Ohio.
