On April 20 at the Matthes-Hopkins Track Complex, Big South rivals Liberty and Coastal Carolina traded the lead in the women's standings back and forth throughout the final day of the Big South Outdoor Track Championships.

The lead changed hands one last time when Christiansen moved from the middle of the field to finish third in the 5K women's race. The men's team completed the Liberty sweep on the day and a "Triple Crown" sweep (men's cross country, men's indoor track and men's outdoor track) on the same day with a dominant 82-point victory over Coastal Carolina.
