Liberty returned to the practice field today following a day off on Monday to allow players to get acclimated to their academic schedule when the University held its first day of classes.
Liberty's first afternoon workout in August was held on the two practice fields adjacent to the Williams Football Operations Center. The Williams Stadium turf was unable to the team as the field is being rebranded with the updated Liberty Flames logo at the 50-yard line and new turf in both end zones.
Following the two-plus hour workout, Liberty Flames Sports Network reporter Alan York had a chance to talk with Flames Head Coach Turner Gill.
During the interview, York and Gill discussed the team's practice plan for the week and how Gill is preparing his team for their season-opening Thursday night game against Kent State on Aug. 29.
