Spring Football Game Scoring System Update

Liberty will host its annual Spring Football Game on Saturday at William Stadium. Gates for the intrasquad scrimmage will open at Noon with the event starting at 1 p.m. The event is free of charge and open to the public.

The Flames will use a unique scoring system during the scrimmage portion of Saturday's spring practice, one that charts the success of both the offense and defense. The complete scoring system is listed below.

Prior to the start of the annual Spring Football Game, Liberty Athletics will hold a Flames Football Yard Sale in the Williams Stadium concourse. At the event, Flames fans will have the opportunity to purchase authentic Liberty football gear, including game day jerseys, Nike team polo shirts, sweatshirts, hats, travel suits and more. For more information about the yard sale, including a pricing structure, please click here.

Additionally, the Flames Club will hold a Spring Football Game tailgating event in the Club Pavilion of the Williams Stadium Tower (third floor). The tailgate-style meal is for all Flames Club members and will run from Noon to 1:30 p.m.

During "halftime" of Saturday's event, the Liberty Football team will honor its 2012 seniors, plus name its Luke 2:52 award winner (Whole Person Development) and Samkon Gado award winners (most improved offensive and defensive players of the spring).

Following the Spring Football Game, fans will be allowed on the field, where Liberty's football coaches and players will be available to sign autographs.
