Liberty has equaled its highest Mid-Major Top 25 ranking of the season at No. 20. Women's Mid-Major Top 25

The winner of nine straight games overall and a program-record 11 consecutive road contests, Liberty is ranked No. 20 in this week's Women's Mid-Major Top 25. That equals the Lady Flames' highest ranking of the season, as Liberty was also listed No. 20 in the preseason poll.

Last week, Liberty (22-6, 14-2 Big South) recorded a pair of Big South road victories. The Lady Flames posted a 75-43 victory at UNC Asheville on Thursday before recording a 55-40 triumph at Gardner-Webb on Saturday. As a result, Liberty clinched at least a share of its 14th Big South regular-season championship in the last 16 years.

Delaware again tops the poll, followed by Green Bay and Gonzaga. Liberty is the only Big South squad to appear in this week's Mid-Major Top 25.

The women's Mid-Major Top 25, now in its third year of existence, is comprised of teams from the America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt and West Coast Conferences.

Liberty will close out the 2012-13 regular season with two home games this week. The Lady Flames will welcome Coastal Carolina to the Vines Center Thursday at 7 p.m., when Liberty will be in search of its 40th consecutive win in the head-to-head series against the Chanticleers.

The Lady Flames will then celebrate Senior Day prior to Saturday's matinee against Charleston Southern. Seniors Devon Brown, Brittany Campbell, Terika Lunsford, Tolu Omotola and LaKendra Washington will be recognized prior to the 2 p.m. tipoff.

Liberty needs one victory this week to clinch the outright Big South regular-season title and the No. 1 seed for next week's Big South Women's Basketball Championship. Two wins would enable the Lady Flames to tie the Big South record for most conference victories in a single season, at 16.
