As the Flames Sports Network continues to recap the 2012 football season, FSN looks back at the Top 10 moments of the year, continuing today with moment No. 7.
The next moment in the Top 10 series came during Liberty's Sept. 22 game against Lehigh and was matched later in 2012 during Liberty's road victory at Presbyterian College on Oct. 13.
Against No. 13/16 Lehigh, a team that finished the regular season 10-1, Aldreakis Allen and Sirchauncey Holloway accomplished something no other running back tandem had in five seasons.
The pair became the first two running backs since Sept. 29, 2007, to rush for 100 yards in the same game. Allen led the Flames with 125 rushing yards on 18 carries, while Holloway paced Liberty with 20 carries for 107 yards.
The rushing duo matched the feat in Liberty's first road victory over the year, helping the Flames to a 56-7 win in Clinton, S.C. Allen had a career day at Presbyterian College, rushing for 183 yards on 13 carries and scoring four touchdowns. Holloway followed with 12 carriers for 128 yards on the ground.
Be sure to check back each weekday during the next two weeks, as the Flames Sports Network and LibertyFlames.com continue to reveal the Top 10 moments of the 2012 football season. The No. 1 moment will be revealed on Dec. 28.
