Liberty University junior Josh McDougal (Peru, N.Y.) remained unbeaten in his collegiate cross country career outside of the NCAA Division I national meet, holding off a talented field at Saturday's Roy Griak Invitational at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn. McDougal's efforts helped the Flames finish 14th out of 34 teams.

Junior Josh McDougal (Peru, N.Y.) broke the course record at Virginia's cross country course at Panorama Farms, leading the Liberty men's cross country team to a first-place finish in the season-opening Lou Onesty Invitational Saturday morning. Junior Piper Newby (Hayden Lake, Idaho) enjoyed a breakthrough performance, finishing 11th to lead the Lady Flames to a fourth-place team effort.
