Liberty junior Josh McDougal established a new 8K course record at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park on Saturday, covering the terrain in a time of 23:16 to win his third race of the season at the Greater Louisville Classic. His performance helped the Flames finish third in the team standings.

The Demon Deacons opened up a 20-point lead in the first half and played solid defense in the second en route to a 34-14 Homecoming victory over visiting Liberty on Saturday afternoon, in front of 29,623 people at Groves Stadium.
With defense on display, neither team could cash in any scoring opportunities as the Liberty Lady Flames and UNC Asheville Bulldogs battled to a 0-0 2 OT tie, in Big South women's soccer action Saturday afternoon at Liberty Soccer Field.
Trailing 2-0, Liberty's Joshua Boateng's goal in the 64th minute sliced Birmingham-Southern's lead to 2-1, but the Flames could not get any closer. The Panthers netted two first half goals on their way to a 3-1 win over Liberty, Saturday afternoon in Big South men's soccer action at BSC Soccer Park.
The Liberty University volleyball team built leads of at least six points in each game Friday night against Big South Conference rival UNC Asheville. However, the Bulldogs were able to use prolonged runs to come back and defeat the Lady Flames, 3-0 (30-25, 30-28, 30-24) at the Justice Center.

The Lady Flames belted eight home runs over a three-game stretch, while getting some timely pitching to finish the Lady Flames Fall Softball Classic with a perfect 3-0 record en route to capturing the one-day event title at the Liberty Softball Field.
