For the first time in program history, Liberty's football team will head into the year as the preseason favorite to win the Big South Conference title. The Flames were named this year's preseason favorite at the annual Big South Football Kickoff Media Luncheon held at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Friday afternoon.

The Flames placed a program-record 11 players on the Big South preseason all-conference football team as announced during today's Big South Football Kickoff Media Luncheon held at the Embassy Suites Hotel.
Recently, the installation of 1,500 red plastic chair back seats was completed at Liberty's Williams Stadium. The new chair back seats give added comfort to fans who purchase reserved tickets.
