Just two weeks into the 2007 WNBA season, a pair of former members of the Liberty women's basketball program are part of first-place teams. 2005 graduate Katie Feenstra is playing for the 3-0 Detroit Shock, and former Lady Flame assistant coach Olaf Lange is now employed by the 3-1 San Antonio Silver Stars.

Liberty University Head Wrestling Coach Jesse Castro has announced the signing of Nick Knowles to a national letter of intent for the 2007-08 academic year.
For the first time in school history, Liberty will send four male student-athletes to the NCAA National Outdoor Track & Field Championships, to be held June 6-9 in Sacramento, Calif. Jon Hart, Clendon Henderson, Brandon Hoskins and Josh McDougal will all represent the Flames at the meet.
