Phillip Laurent's bases loaded single in the bottom of the 12th inning snapped a 3-3 tie as the Flames rallied for two runs in the inning to defeat the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, 4-3, Monday afternoon in the finale of the Big South three-game series at Worthington Stadium. It is the second time this season, Liberty has gone 12 innings to get an outcome as the Flames took 2-of-3 from the Chanticleers in the series.

Liberty scored five times in the third inning to take a lead it never relinquished as the Flames downed the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, 6-4, on Sunday at Worthington Stadium in the completion of Saturday's suspended game between the two teams. The contest had been halted in the seventh inning on Saturday afternoon with the Flames leading 6-3 and a Chanticleer runner on third base with two outs due to lightning and heavy rains.
