After two Liberty school records went down Friday during the Liberty Quad, a third was bettered Saturday afternoon at the Washington Husky Invitational. Junior Josh McDougal ran the fastest 5,000-meter time ever by a Flame athlete, indoors or outdoors, running a personal-best 13:52.13.

Liberty athletes set a trio of records at Friday evening's Liberty Quad at the Tolsma Indoor Track Center in the Flames' final tune-up for next weekend's Big South Championships. Andrea Beckles (60-meter dash) and Jon Hart (weight throw) broke program records, and Philip Leineweber eclipsed the facility record at 400 meters.
