Castro Announces Wrestling Transfer

Liberty University head wrestling coach Jesse Castro has announced that former Duke/Virginia Tech wrestler Christian Smith has transferred to Liberty for the spring semester. Smith will be a part of the program's reinstated squad that is scheduled to return to competition in 2006-07 and he will have 1.5 years of eligibility left at Liberty.

Liberty University head football coach Danny Rocco has announced the addition of three new players to the team's roster as former Pittsburgh running back Rashad Jennings, former Virginia Tech linebacker Stevie Ray Lloyd and former East Carolina offensive lineman Zach Davis have transferred to the university for the spring semester and all will be eligible to compete next year.

Allyson Fasnacht scored a season-high 14 points, including ten in the second half, as the Liberty Lady Flames pulled away from Birmingham-Southern down the stretch for 51-40 victory over the Panthers in Big South action, Saturday afternoon, at Bill Battle Coliseum.
