Wednesday saw continued work on the final stages of the Williams Stadium FieldTurf installation. Workers spent most of the day finishing little projects like the stitching of the south endzone's "Liberty" lettering. Also touched up was the stitching on the Liberty Flames logo at midfield.

Tuesday was an exciting day for the Williams Stadium FieldTurf installation as the Liberty Flames logo was placed and stitched into midfield. As the day concluded the south endzone received installation and stitching of the "Liberty" lettering. Also started was the installation of designated markings for each team's sideline.

Liberty University Head Football Coach Danny Rocco has announced that former Virginia offensive tackle Eddie Pinigis has transferred to Liberty and will join the Flames' roster for the upcoming 2006 season.

Monday saw the north endzone receive its decoration as the word "Liberty" was stitched into its cut. Also along the east sideline the numbers were placed inside their appropriate cut, marking the yard lines. Still to be laid this week is the west sideline numbers and the south endzone "Liberty" lettering.
With just two days left in training camp, the football program took a day off from practice to host its annual media day on Sunday at Williams Stadium.

Friday saw the delivery of the rubber pellets that will be mixed with sand that will provide the cushion underneath the FieldTurf. This is the same exact surface that Super Bowl XL was played on at Ford Field in Detroit. Also arriving was the cutout FieldTurf of the Flames logo that will be stitched across the 50 yard line.

The fifth day of the FieldTurf installation at Williams Stadium was another exciting step towards completion. The sidelines and out of bounds are nearly finished with edging being the only remaining step left. Hash marks and yard line markers where stenciled and cut in preparation for the stitching of white FieldTurf in its place.

On the fourth day of FieldTurf installation at Williams Stadium, the sidelines and out of bounds area is nearly completed. The Flames sideline and out of bounds area remained unfinished at the end of the day on Wednesday. This project phase is expected to be completed over the next couple days.
