Feenstra to Play for Team USA

Fresh off an appearance in the 2007 WNBA Finals as a member of the Detroit Shock, 2005 Liberty graduate Katie Feenstra will now get a chance to represent Team USA. She is part of an 11-member USA Basketball Women's Select Team, which will compete in the FIBA World League Tournament in Ekaterinburg, Russia, Oct. 22-27.

Liberty Women's Basketball Ready for First Official Practice of 2007-08 Season

The Liberty women's basketball team will officially begin preparation for the 2007-08 season tonight at 7 p.m., when head coach Carey Green and his revamped coaching staff conduct the Lady Flames' first practice of the year, at the Schilling Center.

Frazee Repeats as Big South Preseason Player of the Year; Lady Flames Picked Second

For the second-straight year, Liberty junior Megan Frazee has been voted the Big South Conference Women's Basketball Preseason Player of the Year, it was announced at Tuesday's 2007-08 Basketball Tip-Off Media Luncheon, held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Concord, N.C. In addition, the Lady Flames were picked to finish second, behind in-state rival Radford, in the conference preseason poll.
