Former Liberty soccer players Darryl Roberts and Osei Telesford are currently attending Trinidad and Tobago's training camp in preparation for the 2007 CFU Digicel Cup. Trinidad and Tobago will host the tournament in January.

Liberty vs. Lipscomb Tonight Will Be A Special Game For Brewington

Junior Dwight Brewington is one of three players at the Division I level that plays with some sort of hearing impairment. Brewington has 60 percent hearing loss in both ears and plays with hearing aids. Ryan Daniel of Lipscomb and Chris Devine of UC Santa Barbara join Brewington on this short list. Daniel is completely deaf and uses hearing aids, and Devine is deaf in one ear.

Zellous Helps No. 22 Pittsburgh Edge Past Liberty To Remain Unbeaten

Pittsburgh sophomore guard Shavonte Zellous tallied 17 of her game-high 23 points after halftime of Wednesday's first game at the Caribbean Classic, including seven markers during a crucial 10-0 run. Her efforts enabled the No. 22 Panthers to erase an eight-point second-half deficit and remain unbeaten with a 54-47 triumph over the Liberty Lady Flames at the Galactic Ballroom in Cancun, Mexico.

Corbin Named VaSID State Volleyball Rookie of the Year

Liberty setter Kallie Corbin has been voted the 2006 Virginia University Division Volleyball Rookie of the Year by the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association (VaSID), becoming the first player in program history to be so honored. In addition, Corbin and senior middle blocker Autum Black both earned spots on the VaSID All-State second-team roster.

Late 12-0 Run Lifts Texas-Arlington To Victory Over Liberty

The Texas-Arlington women's basketball team had dropped three of its last four games by four points or fewer entering Tuesday afternoon's contest with Liberty at the Caribbean Classic in Cancun, Mexico. Maverick senior guard Terra Wallace helped her team reverse the trend, tallying nine of her game-high 26 points during a late 12-0 run which keyed a 58-54 Texas-Arlington triumph at the Galactic Ballroom.
