    The Flames men’s soccer team earns a tie on the road Tuesday night. Liberty and Longwood played to a 1-1 draw in a non-conference match. The Flames’ goal came from Luke Eberle on a penalty kick in the 53rd minute. Liberty returns home for an ASUN game against Stetson on Saturday at 6 p.m.

    Lady Flames defender Bridie Herman is the ASUN Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Herman scored a goal and helped Liberty post a pair of shutout wins at Jacksonville State and Kennesaw State, last week.

    The Liberty field hockey team is up two spots to 14th in the latest national top 25 rankings. Liberty shut out ninth-ranked UConn last week, 4-0. Also, Flames goalkeeper Azul Iritxity-Irigoyen is the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week and Daniella Rhodes is the conference Offensive Player of the Week.
