    This is your Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Monday, September 26, 2022, I’m Nick Pierce.

    Flames football is back in the win column after Liberty’s 21-12 win over Akron last Saturday night. Now, at 3-1 on the year, the Flames prepare to play their next two games on the road. This weekend, Liberty travels to Old Dominion. Kickoff is Saturday at 6 p.m. Eastern.

    On to volleyball, Liberty’s 2-0 in the ASUN after beating Queens twice over the weekend. Sunday, in Charlotte, N.C., the Flames swept the Royals for a second time after also doing so last Friday in Lynchburg.

    From field hockey – ranked Liberty gets a pair of shutout wins over the weekend. Liberty blanked Longwood, 3-0 on Sunday in Lynchburg – this after winning at No. 9 UConn, 4-0 on Friday.

    And Liberty men’s tennis junior Thando Longwe-Smit wins the gold singles title at Elon. He capped a 4-0 weekend with a win in straight sets on Sunday.
