    October 7, 2022

    Flames Audio

This is your Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Friday, October 7, 2022, I’m Nick Pierce.

It’s travel day for Flames football. Liberty is headed to New England where it’ll meet UMass on Saturday at 3:30 from McGuirick Stadium in Amherst. At 4-1 the Flames and Head Coach Hugh Freeze are just two wins away from becoming bowl eligible.

“Hopefully, we can come back with a fifth win. You know, I’ve been very open that getting bowl eligible for a fourth straight year, I think is a great accomplishment, particularly with the schedule that we’re facing and the injuries we’ve had and the quarterback shuffling, but all that matters is can we get this one this week?”

Saturday’s game can be seen on ESPN+. Live radio coverage from Van Wagner on the Liberty Flames Sports Network begins at 2 p.m.

And back home, the Lady Flames soccer club plays it’s final home game this Sunday against Queens. The ASUN match begins at 1 p.m. Admission is free at Osborne Stadium.
