  • An examination of Genesis with particular emphasis on the following major themes and events: creation, flood, patriarchal narratives, and the Abrahamic Covenant
  • An in-depth study of representative types of psalmic materials
  • An intensive exegetical study of the Gospel of John, including an investigation of the uniqueness of this Gospel, compared with the synoptic Gospels
  • The doctrines of Christ, especially His mentorship, priesthood, and the use of the Old Testament in Hebrews

Admission Requirements for Our Master of Theology Programs

Every application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and all applicants must submit the following documents and meet the minimum requirements for admission:

  • Admission application
  • Official Master of Divinity transcripts with a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Self-certification form for students in the final term of their Master of Divinity degree
  • Rawlings School of Divinity questionnaire
  • Pastoral recommender contact information
  • Current Liberty undergraduate students seeking preliminary acceptance into a postgraduate program must complete a degree completion application through their ASIST account

  • John W. Rawlings School of Divinity professors are active in the classroom, as well as in research and publishing original works.
  • Our John W. Rawlings School of Divinity is committed to the authority of Scripture and conservative evangelical theology.

  • Freedom Tower, home for the John W. Rawlings School of Divinity, houses a 7-projector immersive classroom, an interactive meeting space that utilizes teleconferencing capabilities, and a state-of-the-art homiletics teaching lab.
  • The Rawlings Foundation’s rare book collection is valued at over $1 million and contains a 111-foot long Torah scroll dating back to the 16th century and a functioning Gutenberg Printing Press replica.
